Will you please tell me who wrote the book of Hebrews? I have heard it was written by the apostle Paul. Is this true?

The book of Hebrews does not specifically identify its author and opinion is divided on this question. The most popular belief is that Paul wrote it in 61 or 62 AD. This belief is based on the complexion of the book as well as its style.

It has also been suggested that Paul’s apprentice Timothy may have transcribed it from a letter written to him by the apostle.
